This pandemic is on everyone’s mind. News and updates and lockdowns and shutdowns and statistics and market reactions are reported continuously. Fear and anxiety is a natural reaction. Anger, sadness, shock, and even hysteria can be seen everywhere, pandemically. As we practice social distancing, also please take care to protect personal feelings.
Focus on some positive things that you can control like gratitude, projects at home, and good nutrition. I am popping zinc and hydrating more than usual. Laughing is a great release, watch a comedy or have a good read. Uplifting media on all channels is a must right now. Check the news a little, not a lot. This is something you can control.
Worrying about all the things you cannot control is not helpful to anyone. Worry, fear, and anxiety are not productive. They rob everyone of the positive contributions, decisions, and remediations that leaders, business owners, employees, and caretakers can provide. Again, focus on taking the right steps where we do have control is impactful.
As businesses look for solutions when so much is unknown, patience with each other is definitely an important factor. At home and at work, busy yourself with kind deeds and words. Call elderly and lonely and ill to offer help and a little chat. This is a time to control ourselves, to look after each other with sensibility. We will get through this better with positive actions in areas where we do have control.
