More Hacks, In love with ChatGPT

Following up on my other post sharing favorite hacks, one more hack is my love of ChatGPT. Keeping a history of questions asked, ChatGPT is organized to be helpful. Unlike Google or other search engines, it does not present a rabbit hole. It gives a direct answer that usually is spot on for me. Often when I “google” something, the results are unhelpful. I click and click and click and …. can’t quite find my answer. Is it the same for you?

What is Holi? It is listed on my Apple calendar, as all holidays are. I thought maybe it is a typo. Is it an abbreviation for holiday?

Holi is a popular Hindu festival celebrated primarily in India and Nepal, but it’s also observed in other parts of the world with Hindu communities. It’s known as the “Festival of Colors” or the “Festival of Love.”Holi marks the arrival of spring and the end of winter, symbolizing the victory of good over evil. The festival is celebrated with vibrant colors, water, and music. People gather in streets and open spaces, throwing colored powders and spraying colored water on each other. In addition to the colorful festivities, Holi also includes traditional rituals, prayers, and cultural events. It’s a time for families and communities to come together, forgive and forget past grievances, and celebrate the joy of life.

Another item on my calendar is a hike at noon with my friend Doreen. I asked ChatGPT for the wildflowers typically at that park and the names and lengths of each trail. Within seconds I had my answers. I will use the wildflower list for a scavenger hunt to see how many I spot.

Springtime

Today today today today
Today I go on a hike!
I love to walk
Among the trees
Not one of them alike.

Green is popping all around
Some flowers may appear
Today is Holi
Sunday is Easter
It is that time of year!

Get the spray paint, freshen up
"Celebrate the joy of life"
Repair the fence
Clean out the pots
Plan for good and clear all strife!

More Hacks for ChatGPT

ChatGPT is excellent to tell me what Holi is and also to give me rhyming words for life in the poem I just wrote above. I do not plan to ever use it to compose on my blog for me as many are now doing. I keep writing because I want to hone that ability with practice. However, as a resource for information for day to day living, it is a great hack. Rhyming words, medicinal benefits of plants, recipes, similarities between terms, historical references and lists from the Bible, plant care solutions, how to’s, differences between terms, nutrients in something, attributes of a public park …. most anything you need to know is a simple question away. The response is direct, not a rabbit hole, and without an advertisement or sales nuance. For the time being. 🙂
