Procrastinate another day, for another year, and don’t get it done. That closet, room, shelf, drawer, repair, refresh, task, whatever it is, we all have at least one, probably several, that we endlessly ignore or unimpressively, partially address. There are lots of avoidance excuses. Disinterest, did it before, too hard, wrong language, looks fine, not necessary, what problem?
Today I am going to do it. With this wonderful weekly writing affording accountability, I can figure this out, maybe not once and for all since things fall apart again and again, but for now, today is the day. I am motivated.
“Amateurs sit and wait for inspiration, the rest of us just get up and get to work.”
Stephen King
Give away, toss, organize, straighten, wipe ….. it’s all going down, my mind is made up. How many hours will I dedicate to completing this? I am going to see how much I can do in 2 hours but allow 3 if necessary. I have one project in mind for today but there are several others festering.
This is how sh*t happens. Make a plan, dive in. I do it all the time and I’m sure you do too. This week I am tackling those areas on the down low, totally ignored, for far too long. It’s going to be a great week! What could you tackle this week, could you get it done?
